Sedikit informasi tentang google sitemap buat teman teman yang senang dengan blogging khususnya dunia per-SEO-an yang sekarang masih diramekan oleh kampanye damai pemilu indonesia 2009, mungkin kali ini saya akan membahas tentang google sitemap untuk blogspot. karena melihat sekarang ini banyak rekan rekan blogger terutama yang memakai blogspot ( gratisan ) bingung saat menambahkan google sitemap.


yang mana kegunaan dari google sitemap itu sendiri adalah urat akar dari sebuah website untuk memudahkan visitor dan search engine untuk menjelajahi sebuah blog atau web. sitemap sendiri dapat membantu optimasi untuk seo. berikut saya jabarkan langkah langkah meletakkan google sitemap untuk blogspot.

1. masuk ke http://www.google.com/webmaster
2. klik "SIGN IN to webmaster tools"
3. kemudian lakukan LOGIN email dan password
4. masukkan url blog anda(http://www.bloganda.com)pada kotak kosong"ADD SITE" klik add site, muncul site information
5. dalam site information akan muncul url tadi, kemudian contreng url blog anda pada kotak
6. lalu klik "add sitemap" akan muncul URL blog anga pada My Sitemaps
7. Tambahkan atom.xml pada kotak kosong dibelakang URL blog anda tersebut

Keuntungan dan Kerugian memindahkan Blogspot ke Domain Sendiri

Melengkapi artikel sebelumnya dan sebelumnya mungkin para blogger akan bertanya apa saja keuntungan dan kerugian setelah melakukan custom domain dari blogger (blogspot)ke domain kita sendiri. Agar para sahabat tidak ragu sebelum melakukan custom domain baca keuntungan dan kerugian dibawah ini:

Keuntungan :
- Yang jelas kita memiliki alamat domain sendiri , tentu terlihat lebih menarik dan terlihat lebih serius dalam mengelola blog.
- Gak perlu mikir hosting ke tempat lain cukup hosting di blogger saja.

- Kita dapat menggunakan server FTP eksternal jika dinginkan.
- Gak perlu mikir bayar hosting dan kehabisan Bandwidth, cukup bayar domain saja pertahun.
- Kita tidak bakal kehilangan pengunjung, karena blogger tetap akan mengarahkan (redirect) pengunjung ke alamat domain yang baru (Contoh : http://kang-dadang.blogspot.com )
- Kita gak perlu dipusingkan masalah konfigurasi MySQL, PHP, Java, Flash dan lain-lain.
- Tetap bisa melakukan setting penuh terhadap blogger.
- Yang jelas cukup aman dari serangan Spy, Phishing, FTP hack, Deface, SQL Inject, Google Hack.
Kita masih tetap aman selama pada zone blogger (blogspot) namun berbeda jika kita menggunakan server FTP eksternal dengan hosting pribadi "Catatan : cukup aman belum tentu aman"

- Kita akan kehilangan nilai page ranking dari Google.
- Kita perlu mengubah kembali link banner dengan alamat yang baru.
- Akan kehilangan Ranking alexa, Ranking Technoraty dan Ranking yang lain.
- Kita harus mendaftar ulang ke Search Engine.
- Blog kita akan seperti bayi yang baru lahir
- Ada sedikit masalah pada image header yang gak muncul setelah custom domain, tenang..pasti ada jalan keluarnya

Solusi:
- Daftarkan ulang segera pada search engine dan directory (cukup Google, Yahoo, Dmoz), dan directory ranking lainnya jika diperlukan.
- Mintalah segera pada blogger sahabat untuk mengganti nama blog lama dengan domain baru, jika tidak blog mu akan mengalami kebocoran nilai page ranking
- Jangan takut kehilangan nilai Page ranking, sekali lagi nilai page ranking tidak terlalu berpengaruh pada ranking halaman search engine (teruma google),
- Banyak blogger yang blognya sudah terkenal takut untuk melakukan custom domain, pemikiran yang salah memang, padahal pada kenyataannya mereka gak bakal kehilangan pengunjung sama sekali.
- Jangan ragu untuk melakukan custom domain semua proses akan kembali seperti semula setelah beberapa minggu, terutama pada index halaman search engine.

Pada artikel kali ini akan saya jelaskan cara konfigurasi untuk custom domain di blogger (blogspot). seperti yang sudah saya lakukan pada http://www.villa-qua.blogspot.com menjadi http;//www.villaqua.com , http://www.kang-dadang.blogspot.com menjadi http://www.dadangsuprayitno.info. dan http://www.dahlaniskan1951.blogspot.com menjadi http;//www.dahlaniskan.info. Kenapa saya tidak bikin diWORDPRESS (ada beberapa blog saya di WP) alasannya karena untuk pindah domain di WP tidak gratis, anda dikenakan 10 USD. 

Okey, prolognya sudah, Bahasan yang saya sampaikan ini nantinya hanya pada setting custom domain di blogger, setting nama server pada domain manage dan setting pada DNS (Domain Name System) pada layanan gratis saja (sebagai contoh www.godaddy.com ), kenapa yang gratis ? kenapa harus bayar biaya tambahan kalo ada yang gratis dan siapa sih yang gak mau gratis :), tentu saja saya mengupayakan dan mengajarkan cara yang simple, tanpa keluar biaya tambahan sedikitpun. 

Jika sudah membeli dan memiliki nama domain sendiri (www.namaanda.com/net/info) sekarang saatnya kita melakukan konfigurasi. Ada 3 hal utama yang harus kita perhatikan seperti yang sudah saya sebutkan diatas, yang  pertama yaitu mendafar ke layanan DNS gratis, saya sarankan sebaiknya kita memilih dan menggunakan layanan DNS gratis dibawah ini, jangan khawatir semua alamat dibawah langsung direkomendasikan oleh blogger.

UBAH SETTINGAN DI DOMAIN MANAGER AKUN GODADDY ANDA

Pada pilihan diatas saya akan coba mengulas GoDaddy karena web saya kebanyakan di beli disini. 

1. Log in to your account at www.godaddy.com

MASUK KE ACCOUNT GODADDY ANDA KLIK "LOGIN" isikan nama username dan password klik "GO"

2. Open the Domains tab and select My Domain Names. You'll be directed to the Domain Manager page.

3. Click the domain that you'd like to use with your blog.

KLIK "DOMAINS" TAB ----> "PILIH MY DOMAIN NAMES" ----> KLIK SALAH SATU NAMA DOMAIN YANG AKAN ANDA SETTING PADA KOTAK CEKLIST ---->AKAN MUNCUL HALAMAN  "DOMAIN MANAGER"

4. Click the Total DNS Control And MX Records link at the bottom of the section entitled Total DNS.

KLIK "TOTAL DNS CONTROL AND MX RECORDS"

5. Click Add New CNAME Record in the box labelled CNAMES (aliases). If you've already created a CNAME record for your blog's address, click the pencil icon next to the existing CNAME record.

klik "ADD NEW CNAME RECORD" pada "CNAMES (aliases)" ---> 

tetapi jika anda telah memiliki CNAME RECORD klik saja simbol "PENCIL" pada "CNAME RECORD"--->akan muncul kotak dialog berisi------>enter an alias name, point to host name dan TTL.

6. For the Name, enter only the subdomain of the address you want to use for your blog. For example, if you  picked www.mydomain.comas your address, enter www here.

7. Enter ghs.google.com as the Host Name. Specify a TTL or use the default setting of 1 hour.

pada ENTER an ALIAS NAME ketik www

pada POINT TO HOST NAME ketik ghs.google.com

pada TTL setting defaultnya 1 HOUR

KLIK OKE

8. Click  OK, and then click OK again.

SETELAH ANDA MENGUBAH SETTINGAN DI GODADDY SEKARANG ANDA MASUK KE BLOGSPOT ANDA.

LOGIN KE BLOGSPOT ANDA -----> KLIK "SETTING" ----> KLIKK "PUBLISHING" 

If you're publishing on BlogSpot, you'll see a link near the top offering to switch you to a custom domain. Go ahead and click that link.

KLIK "CUSTOM DOMAIN" ---->

The Blog*Spot Address setting now changes to Your Domain. Fill in the domain you registered, and then save your settings.

CARA MERUBAH NAME SERVER di www.GODADDY.com

HARI  ini saya akan share tentang godaddy, kebetulan semua web saya ( Villaqua, dahlaniskan , dadangsuprayitno) rata2 saya beli di godaddy. Kali ini saya akan berbagi tentang NAME SERVER digoddady, Jika kita akan merubah name server sebaiknya anda tulis dulu NS.DOMAINCONTROL.COM nya agar pas mau membalikin tidak bingung (kadang suka kelupaan). Apa name server itu? Secara sederhana Name server bisa diartikan sebagai Translator, Cuma yang disini kita  terjemahkan sebagai nama domain dan IP address . Sekarang kita mau merubah name server ke host pilihan kita, anda akan memerlukan perubahan misal menyewa hosting, atau sekedar custom domain (pindah domain) di blogspot, Atau malah di parkirin seperti SEDO.

Karena saya tidak punya waktu cukup, untuk maintenance domain yang baru di push kepada saya, saya mau parkirin aja di sedo. apa sedo itu? easy, step by step aja dulu.

Saya asumsikan anda sudah masuk ke dalam account anda di godaddy, lalu hit pada tab name server, seperti gambar di bawah.

Di godaddy ada 3 pilihan settingan name server untuk PARKED NAME SERVER dan HOSTING NAME SERVER memang sudah ditetapkan. anda tinggal mencentang lingkaran dan tekan lanjut.

Parked name server adalah, domain anda di “parkir” di godaddy, anda tidak melakukan apa-apa. nantinya jika domain anda di buka yang tampak hanya lah website dari godaddy.

Hosting name server, maksudnya adalah jika anda menggunakan hostingan dari godaddy, baik yang berbayar ataupun yang gratis (yang gratis banyak iklan nya..he..he)

Custom name server itu bebas, anda yang menentukan kemana anda akan menghost-kan (menempatkan/merumahkan) domain anda, misal nya saja saya mau memparkir di sedo atau wordpress (NS01.WORDPRESS.COM, NS02.WORDPRESS>COM), maka  isi name server seperti gambar di atas.

Mengejek Tiga Jam Sehari di 650 Radio

Memang tidak fair menilai Presiden Barack Obama gagal. Dia baru dua bulan menjadi presiden dan mewarisi kekacauan ekonomi yang gawat. Tapi, orang seperti Rush Limbaugh tidak mau tahu. Apalagi, keadaan ekonomi tidak berhenti merosot. Harapan yang terlalu besar kepada Obama dalam pemilu lalu rupanya mulai menimbulkan putus harapan.



Orang akan memaklumi kalau Obama belum bisa membuat ekonomi lebih baik. Tapi bahwa ekonomi kenyataannya kian merosot drastis (sejak terpilih hingga sebulan setelah jadi presiden harga saham merosot 3.000 poin) sama sekali di luar harapan. Apalagi, Obama sudah gagal dalam dua hal. Pertama, mewujudkan keyakinannya bahwa dia bisa menjadi tokoh pemersatu bangsa. Kedua, kampanyenya untuk membeli produk dalam negeri juga gagal.


Upayanya mempersatukan suara Demokrat dan Republik di Kongres (agar bisa bersama-sama menyelesaikan krisis) sudah gagal dalam ronde pertama. Memang, dia bisa mengegolkan paket stimulus hampir 1 trilun dolar AS, tapi harga politiknya sangat mahal: semua anggota dari Partai Republik tidak memberikan persetujuan. Bahkan, orang seperti John McCain yang begitu kalah berjanji untuk bersama-sama memecahkan masalah bangsa sudah merasa diabaikan oleh Obama.


Mengenai kampanye membeli produk dalam negeri, tentu agak sulit dilaksanakan di lapangan. Mana yang produksi Amerika sendiri? Problem ini akan sama dengan kampanye serupa di Indonesia. Mayoritas barang adalah produksi asing.



Salah satu penyebabnya, sebagaimana yang saya alami di pabrik steal conveyor belt milik Perusda Jatim, pajak impor bahan bakunya lebih tinggi (15 persen) dibanding pajak untuk mendatangkan barang yang sudah jadi (5 persen). Bahkan, pabrik satu-satunya di Indonesia yang kami dirikan dengan modal Rp 50 miliar dengan maksud mengurangi impor ini baru saja harus tutup dua bulan karena persoalan bahan baku seperti itu.


Di AS beredar luas juga mengenai barang apa yang harus dibeli kalau rakyat harus menuruti kampanye Obama. Terutama, penggunaan dana rakyat yang dialokasikan untuk stimulus ekonomi itu. Lihatlah humor di bawah ini:

Bila Anda belanja di Wal-Mart, semua uang itu akan mengalir ke China.

Bila Anda beli bensin, semua uang itu akan mengalir ke Arab atau Venezuela.

Bila Anda membeli komputer, uang itu akan mengalir ke Taiwan.

Bila Anda membeli buah atau sayur, uang itu akan mengalir ke Meksiko.

Bila Anda membeli mobil, uangnya akan mengalir ke Jepang atau Korea.

Bila Anda membeli heroin, uangnya akan mengalir ke Taliban di Afghanistan.

Bila Anda menggunakan uang untuk menyumbang yayasan sosial, uangnya akan mengalir ke Nigeria.



Praktis uang itu hanya bisa dibelanjakan untuk nonton basket, minum bir, dan membuat tato di tangan.
Maka kalau di masa George Bush ada tokoh perfilman seperti sutradara Michel Moore yang terus memburuk-burukkan citra Bush lewat film-filmnya, di masa Obama ini ada Rush Limbaugh, sang penyiar radio yang amat terkenal. Kalau Moore hanya sempat membuat dua film (9/11 dan Sicko) selama lima tahun kepemimpinan Bush yang kedua, Rush Limbaugh bisa setiap hari selama tiga jam di 650 stasiun radio mengejek Obama.


Lihatlah tantangannya yang selalu dia ucapkan dan dikutip jaringan video yang tersiar sangat luas. Tantangan itu dia berikan karena dia merasa Gedung Putih tetap ngotot dengan rencana perubahan misi negara. Juga karena Limbaugh merasa Obama terus menyerangnya. Misalnya, suatu saat Obama pernah menilai bahwa banyaknya tindak kriminalitas yang berlatar belakang kebencian adalah buah kampanye Limbaugh yang konservatif itu. Tahun lalu tindak kriminalitas atas orang Hispanic naik dua kali lipat.


Limbaugh memang pernah menerbitkan buku tentang imigran dari Amerika Latin yang dikenal sebagai Hispanic itu. Imigran Hispanis kini menjadi imigran terbesar di AS. Bukan saja isinya sangat keras, tapi gaya mengucapkannya benar-benar sangat provokatif: Judul bukunya: His Panic: Why American Fear Hispanic in the US! ”Saya tidak akan menjabat tangan seseorang yang telah membuat kerusakan,” katanya.


Obama pernah mengecam Limbaugh sebagai xenophobia. Dan, Limbaugh sangat terganggu dengan penilaian itu. ”Dia menuduh saya xenophobia? Menuduh saya harus bertanggung jawab atas terjadinya peristiwa kriminalitas. Hati saya sungguh terganggu dengan tuduhan itu,” katanya. ”Obama bilang dia akan jadi tokoh pemersatu. Bagaimana mungkin menuduh saya begitu.” tambahnya.


Maka dia tantang Obama untuk berdebat. Lihatlah tantangannya ini. ”Begini saja. Kalau orang-orang ini (maksudnya Obama dan pejabat tingginya) merasa diri mereka begitu hebat dan kalau mereka memang merasa bahwa merekalah yang sangat benar, mengapa tidak Presiden Obama datang ke studio saya ini dan bicara di talk show ini. Kita akan debat satu lawan satu mengenai ide-ide sampai kebijakan-kebijakan. Semua disiarkan utuh. Mari kita berdebat. Saya tawarkan Presiden Obama datang ke sini tanpa didampingi staf, tanpa teks yang bisa dibaca, tanpa kertas-kertas catatan (tanpa krepekan) untuk mendebat saya mengenai semua isu yang saya lontarkan. Mari debat soal pasar bebas. Mari debat soal kesehatan dan peningkatan pajak untuk usaha kecil. Mari debat soal new deal versus Reaganomics. Mari debat soal penutupan tahanan Guantanamo Bay. Mari debat soal pengiriman uang 900 juta dolar AS ke Hamas. Mari debat soal imigran gelap dan lemahnya hukum di perbatasan. Mari debat soal besarnya defisit anggaran dan hancurnya harapan untuk generasi yang akan datang. Mari debat soal Acorn, provokator masyarakat dan mengenai buruh...”.


Masih banyak lagi agenda yang dia tawarkan. Melihat video pidato-pidatonya (dan bicaranya di corong radio) Limbaugh memang kelihatan sebagai orator yang luar biasa.


Mengingat pengaruh Rush Limbaugh lebih besar daripada partai oposisi, pekan-pekan depan ini akan menjadi sangat menarik untuk mengikuti bagaimana Obama menyikapi penyiar radio yang gajinya Rp300 miliar setahun itu. (bersambung)

Lawan Obama Tak Pernah Menyerah (1)

Serang Presiden Sejam, 51 Kali Tepuk Tangan

PIDATO nasional Presiden Barack Obama mengenai rencana pendapatan dan belanja negara yang baru (2010) minggu lalu membuat golongan konservatif semakin meneguhkan sikap bahwa Obama memang benar-benar sedang membawa Amerika Serikat menuju ke ’kiri’. Ini membuat golongan ’kanan’ yang semula masih berharap bahwa setelah terpilih Obama bisa lebih ke ’tengah’ kehilangan harapan itu. Maka, golongan ’kanan’ pun kini semakin mengonsolidasikan diri.


Wujud konsolidasi yang terbaru dan terjelas adalah diadakannya konferensi golongan kanan yang disebut ’konferensi aksi golongan konservatif’ di Washington pekan lalu. Yang hadir 6.000 orang dan disiarkan langsung oleh jaringan TV Fox News ke seluruh negara. TV Fox News dicitrakan sebagai jaringan TV yang dekat dengan golongan ’kanan’, yang berarti berseberangan dengan jaringan TV CNN yang dicitrakan dekat dengan golongan liberal.


Bintang pada konferensi itu adalah Rush Limbaugh, penyiar radio dengan gaji Rp300 miliar setahun, yang kini menjadi lawan utama Presiden Obama di akar rumput. Keberaniannya melawan Obama secara terbuka bukan saja membuat pendengar siaran Limbaugh yang mencapai 30 juta orang itu naik terus, tapi juga membuat dia laris sebagai penceramah di mana-mana. Pada konferensi golongan konservatif pekan lalu itu dia mendapat alokasi pidato satu jam! Pidatonya luar biasa menarik.


Dari catatan saya saja, 51 kali tepuk tangan meriah diberikan kepadanya. Limbaugh juga membuat hadirin tertawa ngakak sampai 16 kali. Bahkan, beberapa kali tepuk tangan itu disertai teriakan-teriakan koor, rasanya sampai enam kali. Bahwa pidato itu sangat sugestif bisa dilihat dari seringnya hadirin meneriakkan kata seperti ”huuu” setiap Limbaugh mengucapkan nama tertentu. Limbaugh sendiri juga kuat dalam bermimik, sampai-sampai untuk mengucapkan kata tertentu dia menunjukkan wajah yang sedang meringis atau mulut yang mencep (bahasa Jawa, untuk menunjukkan gerak bibir yang bisa mengesankan sedang meremehkan lawan, seperti yang sering diperagakan Megawati dalam wawancara di acara Kick Andy di Metro TV bulan lalu).


Limbaugh benar-benar seimbang kalau diperlawankan dengan Obama dalam hal kepintaran berpidato. Dari segi isi, pidato Limbaugh juga sangat dalam. Saya malah menarik kesan bahwa dia bisa jadi ideologi aliran konservatif. Seolah-olah dialah orang yang paling sah menafsirkan apa itu ideologi konservatif di Amerika. Dia bisa menjelaskan dengan baik apa itu ideologi ’kanan’ golongan konservatif dengan cara yang sangat mudah dimengerti.


Dari segi lahiriah, pidato Limbaugh bahkan jauh lebih menarik daripada Obama. Pilihan kata-katanya sama hebatnya dengan Obama, tapi Limbaugh lebih lebih sering memeragakan humor, baik dengan kata-kata maupun gerakan.


Waktu memulai pidato itu saja, Limbaugh sudah memesona dengan kisah humornya. Tentu sebuah humor yang sekaligus mengejek lawan politiknya di media massa, yang juga tidak kalah terkenal dan legendarisnya itu: Larry King, penyiar TV CNN, yang tentu dari golongan liberal. Bedanya, Larry King adalah ”raja” di televisi, sedangkan Limbaugh ”raja” di radio. Limbaugh masih muda, sedangkan Larry King (sebagaimana bisa dilihat di televisi) sudah kelihatan sekali rentanya. ”Memang tidak. Ini kan kamarnya Tuhan. Itu mahkotanya Tuhan. Tuhan saja yang selalu berobsesi untuk bisa seperti Limbaugh!” jawab Saint Peter.


Hadirin tertawa terpingkal-pingkal. Rush Limbaugh lantas menggarisbawahi kesimpulan humor itu. ”Jadi, siapa bilang saya itu sombong,” katanya.


Di awal pidato itu dia juga mencitrakan dirinya sebagai orang yang penting, lawan utama Obama dan tentu lawan seluruh golongan liberal. Tentu akan banyak ancaman melalui telepon selama dia berpidato itu nanti. ”Tidak apa-apa. Sudah ada petugas yang menerima telepon di belakang,” katanya.


Lalu Limbaugh mengemukakan bahwa hadirin tidak perlu waswas akan keamanan dirinya. Bagian ini juga bisa mengesankan bahwa dirinya adalah orang yang penuh percaya diri dan satiris sekaligus humoris. ”Saya perkenalkan inilah kepala keamanan saya. Namanya Joseph Stalin. Saudara Joseph mohon berdiri...,”” ujar Limbaugh tanpa menjelaskan apakah nama yang menakutkan itu bagian dari kepintarannya menyeram-nyeramkan keadaan. Joseph Stalin adalah nama yang amat terkenal sebagai pemimpin tertinggi komunis dunia di masa lalu yang menakutkan.
”Jadi, di bawah pengamanan Joseph Stalin, saya safe di sini. Dijamin tidak akan ada serangan dari golongan liberal. Mana mungkin golongan liberal berani melawan Stalin,” guraunya.


Pidato Limbaugh hari itu memang luar biasa sengitnya menyerang golongan liberal yang dia tuduh sebagai golongan kiri dan sedang membawa Amerika Serikat ke arah kiri. Terutama bisa dilihat dari kebijaksanaan APBN Obama yang, dia nilai, sangat pro-orang miskin dan antiorang kaya. ”Amerika harus kita rebut kembali,” seru Limbaugh.


Namun, Limbaugh juga menyadari bahwa golongan kanan lagi mengalami kesulitan yang sangat besar. Terutama untuk bisa merebut kembali Amerika dari golongan liberal. ”Kita memang sedang dalam krisis kepemimpinan,” katanya. Golongan kanan memang masih sangat sulit memilih siapa yang bisa tampil di depan. George Bush sudah terbukti kalah angin. Dia tidak mau menampilkan lagi tokoh puncak yang pernah menjadi presiden dan ketika menjabat terbukti payah. John McCain juga sudah terlalu tua dan sudah terbukti kalah dalam pemilu lalu. Sarah Palin memang sangat ’kanan’, tapi belum bisa jadi tokoh nasional. Ada calon lain yang muda, pintar, dan hebat. Dia adalah Bobby Jindal, gubernur Lousiana. Tokoh yang baru 38 tahun itu juga seperti Obama, tidak sepenuhnya kulit putih. Jindal adalah keturunan India. Tapi, rasanya juga kurang menarik bagi golongan kanan yang sangat fanatik kulit putih.


Mereka harus mencari yang sebanding dengan Obama. Limbaugh memuji kehebatan Obama habis-habisan. Mulai kepintaran otaknya dan terutama cara berkomunikasinya. ”Sayangnya, dia ingin membawa Amerika bangkrut. Jadi, saya harap dia gagal sebagai presiden,” ujarnya. (bersambung)

1. Defrag harddisk secara berkala. Fungsi defrag adalah untuk menata dan mengurutkan file-file harddisk berdasarkan jenis file/data sedemikian rupa sehingga akan mempermudah proses read/write sehingga beban kerja akan lebih ringan yg akhirnya dapat memperpanjang umur harddisk. Caranya klik menu Start > Program > Accesories > System Tool > Disk DefragmenterSaat menjalankan fungsi ini tidak boleh ada program lain yg berjalan termasuk screensaver karena akan mengacaukan fungsi defrag ini.

2. Aktifkan screensaver Selain bersifat estetis, screensaver mempunyai fungsi lain yg penting. Monitor CRT juga televisi menggunakan fosfor untuk menampilkan gambar. Kalau monitor menampilkan gambar yg sama untuk beberapa saat maka ada fosfor yang menyala terus menerus. Hal ini dapat mengakibatkan monitor bermasalah yaitu gambar menjadi redup/kurang jelas. Lain halnya jika monitor Anda adalah LCD, LED yg sudah dilengkapi dengan energy saving, maka screensaver tidak terlalu dibutuhkan lagi.Cara+ mengaktifkan screensaver dapat dilakukan dengan banyak cara, salah satunya klik Start > Control Panel > Display > klik tab screensaver, kemudian pilih sesuai selera Anda.

3. Ventilasi yang cukup Tempatkan monitor maupun CPU sedemikian rupa sehingga ventilasi udara dari dan ke monitor / CPU cukup lancar. Ventilasi yg kurang baik akan menyebabkan panas berlebihan sehingga komponen/rangkaian elektronik di dalamnya akan menjadi cepat panas sehingga dapat memperpendek umur komponen tsb. Oleh karena itu usahakan jarak antara monitor/CPU dengan dinding/tembok minimal 30 cm. Kalau perlu pasang kipas angin di dalam ruangan.

4. Pakailah UPS atau stavolt.Pakailah UPS untuk mengantisipasi listrik mati secara tiba-tiba yg dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan pada harddisk. Kalau terpaksa tidak ada UPS, pakailah Stavolt untuk mengantisipasi naik turunnya tegangan listrik.

5. Tutup / close program yg tidak berguna Setiap program yg diload atau dijalankan membutuhkan memory (RAM) sehingga semakin banyak program yg dijalankan semakin banyak memory yg tersita. Hal ini selain dapat menyebabkan komputer berjalan lambat (lelet) juga beban kerja menjadi lebih berat yg akhirnya dapat memperpendek umur komponen/komputer.

6. Install program antivirus dan update secara berkala Untuk dapat mengenali virus/trojan2 baru sebaiknya update program antivirus secara berkala. Virus yg terlanjur menyebar di komputer dapat membuat Anda menginstall ulang komputer. Hal ini selain membutuhkan biaya juga akan menyebabkan harddisk Anda akan lebih cepat rusak dibanding apabila tidak sering diinstall ulang.

7. Bersihkan Recycle Bin secara rutinSebenarnya file/folder yg kita hapus tidak langsung hilang dari harddisk karena akan ditampung dahulu di Recycle Bin ini dengan maksud agar suatu saat apabila Anda masih membutuhkannya dapat mengembalikan lagi. Recycle Bin yg sudah banyak juga akan menyita ruang harddisk yg dapat menyebabkan pembacaan harddisk jadi lelet.Caranya jalankan Windows Explorer > klik Recycle Bin > klik File > klik Empty Recyle BinAtau Anda dapat menjalankan fungsi Disk Cleanup Caranya Klik Start > Program > Accessories > System Tool > Disk Cleanup > kemudian pilih drive yg mau dibersihkan > setelah itu centangilah opsi Recycle Bin kalau perlu centangi juga yg lain (seperti temporary file, temporary internet file), setelah klik OK.

8. Jangan meletakkan Speacker Active terlalu dekat dengan monitorKarena medan magnet yang ada pada speacker tersebut akan mempengaruhi monitor yaitu warna monitor menjadi tidak rata atau belang-belang.

9. Uninstall atau buang program yg tidak berguna Ruang harddisk yg terlalu banyak tersita akan memperlambat proses read/write harddisk sehingga beban kerjanya akan lebih berat sehingga harddisk akan cepat rusak.

10. Bersihkan motherboard & periferal lain dari debu secara berkala Setidaknya enam bulan sekali hal ini harus dilakukan. Buka casingnya terlebih dahulu kemudian bersihkan motherboard dan periferal lain (RAM, Video Card, Modem, Sound Card, CDR/CDRW/DVRW, TV Tuner) dengan sikat halus. Pada saat komputer tidak digunakan tutuplah komputer (monitor, CPU, keyboard/mouse) dengan cover sehingga debu tidak mudah masuk ke dalam komputer.

11. Pasang kabel ground. Apabila casing nyetrum, ambil kabel dengan panjang seperlunya, ujung satu dihubungkan dengan badan CPU (pada casing) sedangkan ujung yg lain ditanam dalam tanah. Hal ini akan dapat menetralkan arus listrik yg “nyasar” sehingga dapat membuat komponen elektronik lebih awet.
